In this spirit, we have also chosen as the exhibit of this month the school notebook of a gymnasium student from the first half of the 19th century, which is stored as one of the manuscripts in the collection fund of our museum library. It is an unnumbered notebook on Zoology with notes from one author written in blue ink and richly supplemented with drawings. The binding is blue and cardboard. The cover is worn, but otherwise it is in very good condition. The student whose Zoology notebook has been preserved to us was Antonín Novák. Most likely, this is the same Antonín or Anton Novák also known as Nowak, whose herbarium from around 1889 is located in the botanical collections of our museum. The notebook probably came to us along with these herbarium specim ...
