SECRETARY (CREDENZA)

The secretary is made of elm and oak solid wood. It consists of three basic detachable parts, between which there are two connecting elements.

The lower plinth part (base) is attached to the adjoining part with a wooden wedge lock, followed by the tabletop where the connection is secured with two wooden screws. The upper extension, made at the end of the 19th century, is freely placed on the middle part.

The shape, method of execution, joints, fittings... all indicate that the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most has a truly rare piece of furniture in its collection, whose origin may date back to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
