The Historical subcollection mainly contains textiles, footwear, clothing accessories, and headgear. Another significant part of it is the vexillological collection, which includes association, guild, and party flags, including anniversary and commemorative ribbons.
The most significant and interesting part of this subcollection is the collection of garments, clothing accessories, headgear, hygiene and writing sets, or jewelry from the estate of Baroness Ulrika von Levetzow (1804 –1899). This collection also includes the famous set of family jewelry of the Klebelsberg family made of Czech garnet.
The textiles and footwear in this subcollection can be dated from the mid-18th century to the 1970s. The largest part consists of women's clothing and underwear from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The men's clothing collection includes a set of uniform components, mostly from the Austro-Hungarian army and navy, but also from associations (veterans, gymnastic societies, Sokol, baráčníci, and others) or political parties. An important part is also the collection of miners' uniforms from the 19th and 20th centuries. A separate part includes liturgical garments (chasubles, dalmatics, stoles, and maniples), including liturgical garments with rare straw decorations.
Clothing accessories include fans, parasols and umbrellas, officer sashes, sabre portepees, or a very interesting complete set of shoe buckles, complemented by buckles for fastening knee socks from the 18th to 19th centuries, mostly produced by English manufacturers. This set is a remnant of the rich assortment of products from shoemakers and tailors in the Most region during that period.
The vexillological collection is a purely regional collection mainly encompassing guild, association, and party flags. These represent the 19th and 20th centuries and include both German-speaking and Czech-speaking parties and associations. A large part of this collection consists of commemorative and anniversary flag ribbons awarded during cultural and political meetings and anniversaries.
