World of Building Blocks ® SEVA Exhibition

DetailWorld of Building Blocks ® SEVA Exhibition

27.5.2020 - 30.9.2020

Visitors can look forward to a world-unique exhibition of display and play, World of Building Blocks® from the Czech construction set SEVA®, starting from Tuesday, September 1, 2020. It will offer a world-unique exhibition of the original creations of the author and patron of the traveling exhibitions World of Building Blocks®, Petr Šimr. In the children's playroom, blocks from other Czech brands such as BLOK, Mosaic Color, Disco, Combi Car, and Seva will be presented. From the Czech construction set SEVA®, the exhibition's author, record holder, and patriot of the World of Building Blocks® project, Petr Šimr, will showcase his unique original creations, which include life-sized animals, board games, vehicle models, and other interesting constructions. A major attraction will be a detailed model of a street in the city's periphery made from SEVA blocks, complete with roads, gardens, buildings, and vehicles. Also unique is the two-view fire station building with intricately detailed interiors and exteriors, constructed based on a real fire station from 1923. This model is part of an extensive project that is being created in the studio and gradually assembled into completeness at other traveling exhibitions. A new creation from the author is a life-sized skeleton sculpture of an adult man with movable limbs, just like in reality, as well as a model of a vampire sitting on a royal chair, and a figure of Napoleon Bonaparte. The exhibition will also feature a two-view model of a church with a cemetery, which, with its dimensions, is a candidate for entry into the Guinness Book of Records. It measures an impressive 201 cm in height and is made up of more than 27,700 pieces of the Seva construction set. The model's parts are not glued or modified in any way. The construction took 171 hours to complete. Also interesting is the Seva Food and Seva Kitchen editions, which loosely follow the previous year's factory set Seva Family - Cooking. These are intricately detailed models of dishes - for example, turkey leg with rice and sautéed vegetables, scrambled eggs with bread, festival corn on the cob, and other meals. The Seva Kitchen edition will offer kitchen utensils (meat tenderizer, potato masher, pancake flipper, ladle, etc.) and, of course, kitchenware - plates, mugs, glasses, as well as pans and pots.

The exhibition will also feature a large children's play area with four play zones with Seva®, BLOK®, Mosaic Maxi, Combi Car, and Disco blocks. At the museum reception, visitors will be able to purchase new construction sets and SEVA® pieces at a favorable price. During the exhibition, a workshop is planned - SEVA Construction Academy - collective assembly of the original building of the Mostecké train station. The task for visitors will be to collectively assemble the symbol of the city within a certain time.

The exhibition will last until the end of January 31, 2021.
