In 2023, the power plant in Komořany celebrates a round anniversary. Its history began during the war years, in 1943. 80 years after the start of construction and more than 70 years after the first turbine was spun, Komořany remains a reliable supplier of electricity and for decades also a supplier of heat for households, schools, offices, and shops in Most and Litvínov.

We invite you for a walk through history, a glimpse into the 21st century, to the gallery, and to hear the stories of witnesses:

- 10 exhibition panels and a number of preserved artifacts, examples of period technologies, and reminders of the past will introduce visitors to the history of the Komořany power plant and generally to the energy sector in the Most region. The authors of the exhibition have gathered historical photographs, period press reports, chronicles, but also unique measuring instruments, firefighting equipment, and protective gear.

- You will see what a modern heating plant looks like in the 21st century, thanks to an extraordinary experience from 3D photographs.

- Visitors to the exhibition may be surprised by how many artists captured the industrial beauty of Komořany. Some of the exhibited paintings still hang in offices and workshops, while others were found dusty in warehouses and abandoned buildings. Many of the drawings served as awards and diplomas.

- Nine witnesses who passed through the power plant in Komořany, many of whom also worked at the Ervěnice power plant, recall the years spent in the energy sector. In the project Memory of the Power Plant, they share stories about their work, relationships, the changes that Komořany underwent, and their leisure time. You will hear memories of wading through ash, building a children's camp, or training newcomers..

Children will not be bored at the exhibition either.

- In the children's corner, they can try to assemble a heat production scheme, learn a few words from the energy sector, play energy memory games, or do some painting.
