The World of Fantasy, Sadness, and Joy of Vlasta Baránková

An exhibition of illustrative work for children from the perspective of her broader artistic scope, including examples of her graphic and painting free works.

Vlasta Baránková has presented her book creations at dozens of exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad (France, Japan, Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium, South Korea, Austria, and Yugoslavia). She has received numerous domestic and international awards, and her works are represented in many Czech galleries
and private collections.

She also applied her talent in television production. Among other things, she participated in the animated series of evening children's shows about Lískulka for Czech Television and collaborated on the series of evening children's shows by Markéta Zinnerová titled Four Ears on the Meadow. Her illustrations accompany, for example, children's books by Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř.

The opening will be on October 10, 2024, at 5 PM, featuring DUO MELOS and students from the music departments of ZUŠ F. L. Gassmanna Most. The exhibition will last until February 2, 2025.
