TERRACOTTA ARMY

The first Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China in 221 BC and ended the period of chaos among the Chinese states. Even during his lifetime, his subjects began to build a massive burial site, guarded by a huge army made of fired clay – terracotta.

Eight thousand life-sized soldiers were meant to protect him and help him maintain his power even in the afterlife. This burial site was the largest of its kind in the world and is sometimes referred to as the eighth wonder of the world.

The exhibition will present 68 certified replicas of life-sized warrior statues, 2 horse statues, weapons, and a replica of a battle chariot. It will be accompanied by several guided tours, a lecture, and a documentary film, which is in English with Czech subtitles.

The exhibition is supported by the Ústí Region. It will take place under the patronage of the governor of the Ústí Region, Oldřich Bubeníček.

The exhibition is under the patronage of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic and CzechTourism for the year 2017. The organizer of the exhibition is the Regional Museum in Most, a contributory organization. The provider of the exhibition is GOVIN, s.r.o.

The exhibition will take place at the Regional Museum in Most from October 7, 2017 – January 7, 2018

The exhibition will be closed on the following days: December 24, December 31, and January 1.

Admission
Tickets can be purchased on-site at the ticket office.
Regular admission: 150 CZK
Discounted admission: 120 CZK (seniors 65+, students 15+)
Children 6-15 years; ZTP: 60 CZK (schools 2nd stage of primary school)
Family admission: 350 CZK (2 adults and up to 4 children under 15)

Organized groups of 15 people: 90 CZK / person (adults)
