We cordially invite you to the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ARCHAEOLOGY 2019, which will take place on 19.10. 2019 from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, p. o., Čsl. armády 1360.
We invite you to a full-day event for children and adults, this time with Celts and Germans in the spaces of the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, p. o.
There will be demonstrations by the Living History group from the time of the Germans and Celts. Interested parties can look forward to interesting lectures, such as: “Warfare in the Iron Age,” “Druids in the Time of the Celts,” “Krušné Mountains in Prehistory,” “The Lost Medieval Village of Nesvětice.”
The program will include commented demonstrations of weapons and a popular fashion show of equipment and clothing from the Iron Age. There will also be demonstrations of the production of stone and bone tools, fire-making using flint and tinder, grain grinding, baking flatbreads, painting “rock” drawings, working with metal detectors, etc. Every year on the third Saturday in October, archaeological organizations around the world offer programs and activities for visitors of all ages and interests.
The International Day of Archaeology is a celebration of archaeology and the excitement of discovery.

The International Day of Archaeology is organized in cooperation with the Archaeological Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague in collaboration with the North Bohemian branch of the Czech Archaeological Society, the Archeo Sever o.p.s. Society, the Institute of Archaeological Heritage Care of West Bohemia in Most, v. v. i., Living History groups, and the Secondary School of Diplomacy and Public Administration in Most.
