International Conference

April 19, 2018 - April 20, 2018

The Ústí Region and the Saxon State Office for Archaeology, in cooperation with the Regional Museum in Most, cordially invite you to an international conference dedicated to the issue of stove tiles and tiled stoves. The event is organized as part of the exhibition "The World of Tiled Stoves," which can be visited until May 31, 2018, at the Regional Museum in Most.

The conference will take place at the Regional Museum in Most on April 19 and April 20, 2018.

The Regional Museum in Most will collect a participation fee upon registration on-site in the amount of 400 CZK. Students, pensioners, members of AMG ČR, ICOM 200 CZK.

The organizers offer the opportunity to place posters with scientific research outputs during the conference, in the following thematic areas:

1) technology of stove tile production,

2) development of the stove body form and its design,

3) technological aspects of the stove body in different periods,

4) iconography of the front walls of stove tiles,

5) restoration and heritage protection of tiled stoves,

6) stove-making as a craft,

7) research of archival sources related to stove bodies,

8) material-technology research related to stove bodies.
