The permanent exhibition of the museum in the attic spaces takes visitors to the Ore Mountains and shows them the life of ordinary people. Furnished living rooms and workshops represent everyday life, household chores, and typical crafts such as mining, stocking-making, lace-making, and toy-making. The exhibition also offers a glimpse into the enchanting Christmas atmosphere of the Ore Mountains with nativity scenes, smoking figurines, and pyramids.
Individual scenes describe typical crafts and the livelihoods of the inhabitants of the Ore Mountains. For example, the production of toys by carving or splitting from turned hoops, which were primarily used to make various wooden animals, is typical. You will also see toys made from papier-mâché.
The final part of the exhibition is a scene depicting the winter Christmas atmosphere of the Ore Mountains and the unique Most nativity scene by the famous carver Anton Schembera, which is very popular among visitors.
