The Regional Museum and Gallery in Most presents an exhibition of artist Ivana Štenclová in the gallery spaces. Although her work is known to the public and she has had numerous exhibitions in private galleries, she has not yet exhibited independently in a state gallery or museum.

Ivana Štenclová is one of the prominent personalities of the contemporary Czech art scene. From 1995 to 1999, she graduated from the Secondary School of Art and Design in Opava and continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the drawing studio under Professor Jitka Svobodová (1999–2005). She successfully completed her studies and received the Josef Hlávka Award for her diploma work. Even during her university studies, she was already exhibiting.

Ivana Štenclová experiments with various techniques that, although often unusual, always carry a drawing trace. Her paintings feature ornaments, but not as mere decorative elements; they always complement the intrinsic content of the works. Her work is characterized by experimental technological processes. For example, Ivana Štenclová draws with a hot glue gun or a syringe, uses a paint roller, stamps, and sometimes weaves with wires. She chooses materials such as plywood, X-ray images, or metal sheets as her base. She engages not only in classical artistic techniques (such as drawing, painting, and photography) but also in less common methods, such as laser cutting, which she has been intensively exploring since 2015. She layers individual surfaces on top of each other, creating essentially a relief. Her work also includes photography and architectural realizations.

The main theme of her work is interpersonal relationships, portrait, and self-portrait. A significant milestone in the life and work of the author is her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter Zoe, which brought new themes and their processing.

The title of the exhibition corresponds to a method used in the criminal profession to create portraits based on the memories of witnesses assembled "piece by piece." Similarly, the author composes images from memories of specific individuals, shaping their faces piece by piece.
