BATTLE OF WHITE MOUNTAIN 1620 - 2020

400 years ago, on November 8, 1620 around noon, the imperial soldiers charged with the shout SANTA MARIA! into an attack against the left wing of the estates' army. What was initially supposed to be just a probing attack to test the strength of the estates' positions turned into a battle that decided the first phase of the Thirty Years' War, the Bohemian War, within an hour and a half. A battle that became one of our "national" traumas in the 19th century and resonates in society to this day. If you are interested in this battle, the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, in cooperation with the City Museum in Kadaň, has placed this document on the YouTube platform exactly on the day and hour of its beginning.
