Painting and image have never lost the power to touch on essential aspects of human life. This is exceptionally strongly demonstrated by the highly painterly expression of Denisa Krausová, endowed with striking coloristic abilities. We can recognize many familiar themes from the history of European visual art transformed by the author's sensitivity into new unexpected contexts in an extraordinarily energetic contemporary expression. Here we find references to landscape painting, flower painting, and still life. However, it seems that the most significant mark left in her painting is the spirit of the old theme Vanitas vanitatum, albeit with a noticeable touch of irony characteristic of the author's work.
