The Battle of Most in 1421 is one of the most important events in the history of the royal town of Most. Its echoes in legends, traditions, and even the spiritual life of its inhabitants were felt deep into the 20th century. The battle is one of the most significant events in the history of the Hussite period in the Czech lands and can be considered as important as the battles at Sudoměř, Vítkov, Domažlice, or Lipany. Its significance also lies in the fact that it was not a victory for one of the Hussite leagues, but rather the greatest Hussite defeat since the outbreak of the Hussite revolution.
