› Detail › 1. MUSEUM NIGHT - WARS IN LACE OR A TRIP TO THE 18TH CENTURY
3.6.2016
For its first museum night, the Regional Museum in Most prepared a commemoration of the 260th anniversary of the beginning of the Seven Years' War (1756-1763), which significantly impacted the history of the city of Most. However, the museum night does not only want to commemorate war events but also to showcase the culture, fashion, life, and crafts of the entire 18th century. The program includes not only presentations of Czech reenactment units (military history clubs) dealing with this period but also demonstrations of so-called living history, i.e., associations and individuals presenting period culture, fashion, and crafts. Another component is a demonstration and teaching of period dances and a concert of baroque music.
